Describe Your Town / Neighbourhood

Ask the student to describe the places in their town. Encourage use of prepositions of place and There is/are structures.
  • Tell me about the town or neighbourhood where you live.
  • What places are there? (shops, parks, hospital, library, etc.)
  • Can you describe where some of these places are? (Use: next to, opposite, behind, in front of, between)
  • What do you and your family usually do at weekends in your town?
  • Do you like where you live? Why / Why not?
