Dear Lily,

How are you? I am writing to you from my new home in Canada! As you know, my family moved here last month. Canada is a huge country — it is the second largest in the world. It is very cold here in winter, and there is a lot of snow. I have to wear a thick coat, boots, and gloves every day! The people here are very friendly, though. My new school is great. It has a big sports hall, a library, and even an indoor swimming pool. My favourite subject is Science, and I love going to the lab. After school, I usually go cycling or skateboarding with my new friends. Have you joined any sports clubs? Write soon and tell me all your news!

Living a healthy life is very important. To stay healthy, you need to do three main things: eat well, exercise regularly, and sleep enough. A healthy diet includes plenty of vegetables, fruit, whole grains and water. You should try to limit sweets, fizzy drinks, and fast food. Exercise is also very important. Doctors say that children should be active for at least 60 minutes every day. You can play football, swim, cycle, or even dance — it all counts! Finally, getting enough sleep is often forgotten, but it is very important. Children aged 10-12 need about nine to eleven hours of sleep every night. If you eat well, move your body, and rest properly, you will feel happier and do better at school.
