Part 1 Occupations (20 pts)
  • Teacher: What is your dream occupation when you grow up? Why?
  • Teacher: Tell me about a terrible or dangerous job. Why don't you want to do it?
Note to Teacher: Expect vocabulary like 'architect, mechanic, dangerous, exciting, engineer, salary'. Simple Present is expected.
Part 2 Past Holidays (40 pts)
  • Teacher: Think about your last summer holiday. Where did you go and how was the weather?
  • Teacher: What did you do on your holiday? Did you visit any historical places or just swim in the sea?
  • Teacher: Did anything funny or disastrous happen during the trip? Tell me about it.
Note to Teacher: Assess Simple Past Tense usage (went, played, swam, saw). A B1/B2 level student will easily construct positive and negative past tense phrases. For B2 distinction, ask follow-up "Did anything funny happen?".
Part 3 Saving Our Planet (40 pts)
  • Teacher: Look around your classroom or school. Do you see any pollution or rubbish?
  • Teacher: What shouldn't we do if we want to protect animals and trees?
  • Teacher: Imagine you are the President of Earth. Give me three pieces of advice (rules) to save the planet.
Note to Teacher: Listen for "Should / Shouldn't / Must". Expect environment vocabulary (pollution, recycle, rubbish, cut down trees, save water, global warming). The 'President of Earth' prompt encourages B2-level creative speaking.
